By: First Choice Air on November 18, 2015, 10:20 am

As Los Angeles' leading HVAC service, installation, and new systems sales company, First Choice Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to service, sell and install the best of the best in commercial and home heating and cooling systems throughout Southern California.

For more than 15 years, we have met the HVAC needs of businesses and residents throughout greater Southern California. We are a fully qualified and leading distributor of air conditioning, heating, HVAC, and environmental control products. We are a low-price air conditioner and furnace leader, and maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. As a locally owned business, we proudly sell, install and repair air conditioners, furnaces, air filters, thermostats, attic fans and much more to ensure that your home or office is providing an internal climate conducive to your needs.

We're excited about launching a new series in which we will focus on the various manufacturers we specialize in repairing, installing and selling. So without further ado, here's our first HVAC system manufacturer spotlight of the month: Lennox.

Lennox Heating and Cooling History
It was all the way back in 1895, when Dave Lennox built and marketed the world's first riveted-steel furnace. Within five years, he sold his company to David Windsor (D.W) Norris in order to return to his primary passion of inventing. Lennox expanded its operations, opening factories and warehouses on the East Coast. By 1935, Lennox had introduced forced-air furnaces for heating homes. Less than 20 years later Lennox had introduced residential central air conditioning services. Multizone units for both heating and cooling of commercial spaces were unveiled by Lennox in 1965. By 1980, Lennox focused efforts on efficiency and became the first air conditioning manufacturer to achieve an efficiency rating of 15.000 SEER. 20 years later, they became the first company of its kind to introduce an indoor air quality system to combat air contamination indoors.

Lennox & SEER Efficiency
Lennox's SEER efficiency rating increased over years, and by 2005, Lennox had created the first air conditioner with a SEER efficiency rating of 20+. Home dehumidification systems would follow, along with easy to use digital thermostats. Today more than 120 years after Dave Lennox first brought to market the riveted steel furnace, Lennox remains one of the most established and respected manufacturers of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, along with myriad other products designed to make climate and air control in homes and businesses reliable, and efficient.

At First Choice Heating & Air Conditioning, we are proud to repair, sell and install Lennox heating, cooling and auxiliary systems to residences and companies across greater California. We are equally proud to provide the same services for other premium HVAC manufacturers including Rheem, Honeywell, General Electric, American Standard, Carrier RUUD, York, Bryant, Goodman, and many others.

Stay tuned as we will continue to provide Manufacturer Spotlights on these other incredible companies in coming posts!
